Dear reader,
There are a handful of people who come across as unafraid to say the quiet parts out loud—whether calling brands out for misrepresenting themselves, mistreating freelancers, or posting job ads without the salary band. Josh Akapo, Head of Marketing at Rise Climbing, is one of them. I’m excited to reveal the cover for this month’s magazine – look, they’re ‘washing’ again!
In this age of AI, I asked Josh what he thinks about it. His response? “I don’t think of AI”. It was an interesting conversation. We spoke about his interesting career, from co-founding and running archetype (for about 10 years) with his friends, taking some time off work, and coming back to lead marketing at Rise.
